가산명사 : 관사 + 가산명사  ,  복수형.

            사람, 집합, 사물(눈에 보이거나 만질 수 있는)

             

불가산명사 : a / an 등이 명사 앞에 오면 안 된다.

            특정한 사람 / 사물이름       예) 범균, Tom, 서울, 홍콩.

            개념 / 상태 / 동작            예) history, information

            물질을 가리키는 명사          예) water, oil, paper

           

 

   한정사 : 명사 앞에 주로 사용. 관사 / 소유격 / 수량형용사 / 지시형용사

 

➊ 가산명사, 불가산 명사 앞에 오는 수량 표현

주의] ❶ The / 소유격 / any + 가산단수, 가산복수, 불가산 다 온다.

      ❷ all. more. most. other, a lot of, lots of, plenty of, other, some은 

        가산명사와 쓰일 때 복수명사 앞에 온다.    [ 복수가산명사 앞에 ]

           

few vs little)  few : 수의 적음 / little : 양의적음

fewer vs less) fewer : 수를 수식[가산] / less : 양[불 가산]

  less : ~보다 적은 (정도&수량)                 동사 / 형용사, 부사 수식

lesser : ~보다 중요하지 않은 (중요도&가치)     명사를 잘 꾸민다.

 

lower : 더 낮은 (low의 비교급) // 동사) 낮추다

 

※ [ 숫자 + 단위명사 + 명사 ]에서 단위명사에는 -s사용 불가

    예) two thousand books.  /  a five-year-old boy.

       그러나 thousand, hundred, year등이 다른 명사수식 안하면 -s사용

       thousands of books,  He is five years old

➋ 부분이나 전체를 나타내는 수량 표현.

       all   both   most     half                   단수명사 - 단수동사

      any   part   some  percent   +  of the  +   복수명사 - 복수동사

  the rest       the bulk   

        ※ 명사의 상태에 따라 동사가 정해진다.

 

➌ 수량표현과 명사사이에 of the가 와서 한정된 명사의 부분이나 전체를

   나타내는 경우 of + the 가 세트로 와야 한다.

   one/two  each  all  both  none

    many   much  most  several   +    of the    +    명사

   some   any  (a) few  (a) little    (꼭 둘 다 와야 된다.)   the 대신 소유격가능

 

예외) all of the 명사   most of the 복수가산 / 불가산   both of the 명사

      all the 명사      most 복수가산                   both the 명사

      all 명사          most of 대명사                  

      all the more 형용사 : 더욱 더(부사)

1-2. 가산명사와 불가산명사

 

❶ 불가산 찾는 법.

 명사를 쪼개고 찢고 분해하고 아무리 해도 그 명사 그대로인 것

 예) 물이 있다. 아무리 쪼개고 나누고 부셔도 물은 물      ⤳ 불가산

     재킷이 있다. 재킷을 쪼개고 찢으면 그것은 누더기     ⤳ 가산

 

❷ 불가산 명사의 종류 : 군집명사,  물질명사,  추상명사

 Ⓐ 군집명사 : 하나의 개체는 셀 수 있는데 그것을 모아놓은 전체로는 셀 수 없는 것      mail(우편물) - letters, bills, cards, postcard.

  furniture(가구) - chairs, tables, desks, beds.

   jewelry(보석) - rings, necklace, watches, bracelets, earings

   scenery(풍경) - rivers, mountains, watches, valleys.

  literature(문학) - novels, poems, short stories, essays,

 Ⓑ 물질명사 : 고체, 액체, 기체, 가루, 먹는 것. 학문,

        고체  - bread, meat, cheese,         gold, silver, iron

        액체  - wine, beer, milk, water      ink, oil, shampoo

        기체  - steam, air, fog

        가루  - sugar, salt, rice             sand, dust, dirt

 Ⓒ 추상명사 : 날씨관련, 놀고먹는 것, 공부와 일에 관계되는 것. 음식

      추상명사 - love, ignorance, knowledge

          날씨 - snow, rain, weather

  놀고먹는명사 - tennis, soccer, hiking, breakfast, lunch, dinner

      공부, 일 - English, mathmatics, history, politics, biology

 Ⓓ 불가산사용 : 양) much / a lot of   (많은 ~)

                                little  (거의 없는 ~)

                              a little  (조금 있는 ~)

               사용) the랑은 사용 가능.
